So Much to Say

I like to welcome you to G Spits It. My blog will contain a little bit of everything. I hope that everyone will read it, but many of my posts will be relevant to people of African descent - what should and shouldn't be happening in advancing us as a people. Don't get it twisted though - there will be entertainment news, some snippets of my day to day, some snippets of other people's day to day, and just information that might be helpful.

I have not revealed my whole name - not because I am ashamed of it, but because these days people in positions of power (employers, universities, TMZ, etc.,) regularly use information to prevent people from obtaining jobs, getting in to graduate schools,or just living life in obscurity. I am not sure what my next 100 steps will be, so I am going to play it safe. My friends will know and when they pass it on, they may know too, other than that I am going to lay low.

The snippets I will share will also protect the names of the "innocent", unless they are in the public eye and then frankly they will be on their own! I also will use real names when their achievement is worth noting - not the famous, the everyday folks that are doing their things and doing it well. There will be shameless plugs, but some of my crew are hustling to get their wares out and if this forum will help them, I will certainly open it up to them!

I hope you visit often and respond to me when I say something that makes you feel good and even better makes you real, real mad!! I promise you that some of the opinions you will see here will blow your mind - but the goal ultimately is to make you think twice!

Lastly - Genarlow Wilson is free now. For all those who advocated for his release, I am sure he and his mom are truly grateful. Now let's take it one step further - Educators and university administrators - prepare him to enter college, FREE OF CHARGE and let his life really begin!

With that I wish you all the best for today and always.

G

Finally!! I've been waiting for this. Just letting you know I was here. I watched Genarlow on TV this morning and he talked about how he won't let what happened make him bitter because he wants to get on with his life and do some positive things. More folks need to take that and run with it.
